You have a vision, or maybe several different visions. We work together to make it  cohesive, achievable and most important, a beautiful space. Whether you need a "room refresh" with paint and accessories, or are tearing down walls and creating new space, we can help you get there.

Need help getting plans and permits? Ready for bids and construction schedules? This is where we can help you get organized and make sure that you have checked all the boxes before your project begins.

We provide a team of project managers to oversee the job schedule as well as our vetted work teams. We problem solve when challenges arise, ensure payouts are accurate, keep you informed about inspections and manage the job site to ensure it is clean, secure and organized.

about us

Hi I am Mollie of Flax + Stone. We are a design-build and interior design firm located in lovely East Sacramento. Flax + Stone was officially launched in the beginning of 2020, though the concept was born during the redesign of a 100 year-old Craftsman Bungalow in 2018.

Mollie has been a hair stylist and “color goddess” for about 10 years. We both decided to take the 2020 plunge and give our all to transitioning our talents to Flax + Stone. #gobigorgohome

We now spend days designing beautiful spaces, walking job sites, sourcing materials, creating plans in AutoCad and “other duties as assigned”.

Mollie has a “sixth sense” for space design; and a boldness to take on any challenge. Whether a simple kitchen remodel or a large space addition, she will always present creative solutions that solve for both practical living and visual delight. To say she is an "out-of-the-box designer is an understatement.

If you find yourself ready to start a new home build or renovation project, reach out to us on our contact from. We are excited to create with you.

A Design-Build from

We loved working with Mollie. She was super helpful with giving us design ideas, timetables for our project, and keeping lines of communication open between us and the general contractor. We both work and we couldn’t have done it without her help; we called her the wedding planner of our home remodel.
